Courses and What You Need To Enter FILE: FC.HLP
Recording course data must be done once per course. This way, DBK
will know how you did on each hole relative to par and yardage.
When you first receive DBK, the file called COURSE.DAT will have a
number of courses in it local to the Ann Arbor/Detroit area. If you
are not from this neck of the woods, the file is generally of little
interest. To start a new COURSE.DAT file, first delete the old one
if you do not plan on playing any of these Michigan courses. (You
can delete it from the DBK Utility Menu)
After this is done, now you can build your own. We suggest that you
use the default name of COURSE.DAT unless you play alot of different
courses. For example, if you travel Florida, The Carolinas and
Georgia, you may wish to build separate files for each. This is up
to you.
Otherwise, use the default name and begin you course database.
You will need a scorecard from each of your courses so that par,
yardages, course rating and slope data can be entered. After each
course entry, you will simply press the Esc key to exit. A prompt
will ask you if you really want to save just to make sure you want
to add the data to the file.
